FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, 10/12/2009

Team TNG Makes Strides Nationwide

As a national team sponsor of the American Cancer Society (ACS) Making Strides Against Breast Cancer events, TNG is committed to doing whatever it takes to find a cure.

Hundreds of talent, family and friends of TNG are turning out to support the fight against breast cancer at Strides events held across the country in October. TNG was also a presenting sponsor of the global headquarters’ hometown event held October 10 on Belle Isle in Detroit, MI. Together more than 10,000 participants raised more than $300,000 at this single event.

“As a 5-Star Investor with the ACS, our talent not only feels good about their contributions in both time and dollars, but knowing that ACS is THE foundation for people with cancer and people looking for a cure,” says Larry Gaynor, president and CEO of TNG. “I applaud the team captains and the hundreds of TNG talent, family and friends that came together to make a difference.”

Gaynor was the top participant at the Detroit Strides event, personally raising more than $75,000 for ACS. TNG was also the top participating organization, raising more than $90,000 in charitable contributions.

TNG is known for their strong commitment to the community as much as for their beauty products and services. It is this commitment that sets them apart from other companies, and brings talent, friends, partners and colleagues together to make a difference. Through events held throughout the year, TNG has contributed more than $1.5 million to ACS over the past decade.

Donations to ACS help fight breast cancer through:

• Funding cutting-edge research leading to the discovery of lifesaving treatments

• Advocating all women have access to mammograms and lifesaving treatments, regardless of income

• Providing free programs and services that improve the quality of life for cancer patients and their families in more than 3,400 communities across the country

• Offering free e-mail mammogram reminders at cancer.org to all women who sign up.

You can make a difference.

Since 1993, nearly 5 million walkers across the country have raised more than $340 million through Making Strides. Get involved by joining an existing TNG team or starting a team of your own. The non-competitive pledge-based walks range from three to five miles and are held at locations nationwide. For more information, visit http://makingstrides.acsevents.org/tngworldwide.
